Artists

Tilt

"Tilt is an internationally recognised traditional graffiti artist, originating from Toulouse in South France. A self declared "graffiti fetishist", he learned his trade in the streets and on trains as a youngster. In the time since he did his first tags on a skateboard ramp back in '88, his ensuing career has been nourished and influenced by extensive travel."

Tilt - Street Art

I like this guy because he has worked on some interesting installations. He brings street art into galleries, makes it into illustrations and plays with text. I don't think his style is unique but the way he uses his work is very creative. For instance his half spray painted installations are visually striking, he uses the white space around his art to create a contrast with the two surroundings.

Steven Harrington

"Cited as the leader of a contemporary Californian psychedelic-pop aesthetic, Los Angeles–based artist and designer Steven Harrington is best known for his bright, iconic style that encourages a two-way conversation between the artist and viewer. There’s a timeless quality to his playful yet contemplative work."

Steven Harrington - Art

Like Tilt, Steven Harrington's art sometimes has texture to, its not always perfect like his illustrations which is nice. He uses real material but still maintains a vector/graphic style with smooth bold black lines and soft pastel colours. His work is sweet, bright and reminds me of the 90's.

Kevin Lyons x

"Creative director, designer, illustrator, and founder of Natural Born. Kevin Lyons has worked with such clients as Nike, Converse, Umbro, Coca-Cola, American Express, among others."

Kevin Lyons - Art

Kevin Lyons has done so much work over his career, he has worked with absolutely everyone. He's turned little simplistic doodle like monsters and faces into a instantly recognisable print that can be used on/with nearly anything. Like other street artists he uses thick black markers.

Miss Van

"Miss Van started wall-painting at the age of 20, in 1993, initiating the feminine movement in Street Art. Originating from Toulouse, France and having spent most of her artistic life in Barcelona, Miss Van has travelled the world painting her instantly recognizable women on the streets, as well as on canvas."

Miss Van - Art

Miss Van has such a unique style. Theres allot of little details in her work, she uses pointed lines unlike the other artists, she uses paint brushes and rollers to get her desired look.

Malarky

"Street Painter, Illustrator and Skateboarder. Half of the time I can be found putting colour on the streets of grey London, the other half you can find me drinking a beer and painting a truck in the sunshine of Barcelona."

Malarky - Street Art

Malarky is one of my favourite street artists, his works all over London and is always eye catching. I like the way that he warps our sense of 2D and 3D, some of his characters will be flat and some will have depth to them but they will be next to each other in the same piece of work creating his own laws of physics and reality. He makes illustrations for print and digital, its nice that he can convert his style to digital without altering it.

Malarky - Illustrations

Sometimes his work is a little cheeky but it adds to the personality of his work. From what I can tell he seems to be a kid at heart and it reflects in his work which is nice and refreshing to see.

Anthony Lister

"Born in 1979, Anthony Lister is already described as "Australia's best contemporary artist". In addition to a strong background in street art he employs a sophisticated painterly style. High and low culture clash too in the content of his paintings, drawings and installations"

Anthony Lister - Art

Anthony Lister is an eccentric character who makes massive scribbly faces with crayon childlike doodles. He uses large paint brushes and spray paint to create a mix between traditional painting and street art. The scale that he displays his work makes it hard not to notice it. He has a way of making spray paint look like watercolours which is very effective when he alters the opacity of the paint.

Sickboy

"sickboy emerged from bristol’s infamous graffiti scene and his work has cemented his place in the upper echelons of the british street art movement."

Sickboy - Art

Sickboy is one of my favourite street artist. He not only does street art and gallery work, he makes weird and wonderful installations too. He loves to use every colour in the book but in some of his work he limits himself to two/three colours, he also likes to alter his detail in his work, some pieces will have a amazing amount of detail them and use allot of straight lines whilst others will be simplistic with curved lines. You never know what to expect from Sickboy thats why hes such an interesting artist.

Sickboy - Installations

Mr. Penfold

"Amid the bicycle ridden streets of Cambridge Mr Penfold lurks. Observing characters, then re-creating them on walls and canvas’. Using strong linear elements against organic outlines with an overly scientific approach to colour"

Mr. Penfold - Street Art

Mr. Penfold work is clear, smooth and playful. I like his style and the simplicity of his work. He uses bold block colours and adds thick shadows and shines. He collaborates with allot of artist like Sickboy and and Low Bros. His illustrations are really fun, he manages to capture peoples likeness even though hes keeping to such a limited style.
