Maps & Journeys - Task

Brief

Make a route on a map and travel that route, make a document of the journey using combination of techniques and stills.

Route

Inspiration

I looked at the vines of Le Seb Ettinger, he is from Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. He makes simple vines of small chucks of roads and pavements and twists the camera in a jolt.

Last year I made a cut up image saying "I cleeen Farnham" for my old blog. I used this as the foundation for the finish product. I guess that last years photography project also had a similar theme.

Etta Bond has a video that also uses a similar cut up effect.

Filming

To film I strapped a camera to the back of a bike pointing to the right and drove around farnham centre for 30mins to get an overall feel of the town.

Music

The music is Nina Simone la piano. Its cut and reversed.
